Suspend EU-Israel Association Agreement - The Petition Site

thepetitionsite.com — We call on the EU to suspend trade with Israel until it respects human rights and International Law. The EU is Israel's biggest importer of goods, and its second biggest exporter. In 2006 the total traded between the EU and Israel amounted to 23.5 BILLION Euros. The EU-Israel Association Agreement forms the legal basis for this trading http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/Suspend-EU-Israel-Trade-Agreement

Please sign this petition too, calling for the release of Marwan Barghouthi & all Palestinian Prisoners and send it to as many people as possible... http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/free_barghouthi/

Lift Travel Restrictions on Palestinian Journalist

Mr Amayreh was granted an entry visa to Germany. However, the Israeli military authorities have refused to give him a permit to leave the West Bank. No Palestinian can travel abroad without receiving such a permit beforehand, otherwise he or she would be turned back once arriving at the Israeli-controlled border terminal at the Allenby Bridge. http://www.petitiononline.com/k1h2a3l4/petition-sign.html

This is pretty new & could do with some sigs - thanks

Four VeteransForPeace brothers have put together a resolution calling for a single state solution (Warfield/Dresser Resolution for Israel/Palestine Peace) which we are hoping to pass at the next VFP National Conference later this year. If successful, this would be a big political blow to the (Zionist) Empire. But we desperately need your help.

We've already received criticism that the four of us white boys who put this together are "too white" to be speaking on behalf of Palestinians. We have also been told that since the Palestinians "are not demanding a single state solution themselves" that we should just leave matters alone. We don't believe either of these. But it will be up to our Arab, Muslim and Palestinian brothers and sisters to prove it that we are right. Without your support, this effort will likely collapse. With your support, the membership of VeteransForPeace may very well be convinced to pass this resolution.

Please sign the petition and leave your comments/opinions, and encourage all of your friends to do so as well by forwarding this message and link:

Very Sincerely,
Gordon Sturrock (petition admin and signer)

I gonna do better - I've had an idea - remember that facebook group that I made u admin of? Well, I recently learnt that u can change the name of fb groups - I'm going to change the name of the group to Petition 4 Palestine.... Here's that latest:

Petition here that everyone can sign:

International petition to the UN General Assembly to set up a special international penal court to try Israeli war crimes, notably in the Gaza Strip :
publié le Thursday 19 February 2009

AFPS

Because it was in our name that in 1945 the United Nations charter was signed...

Because it was in our name that in 1947 the Partition plan for Palestine was approved by the UN General Assembly...

Because it was in our name that in 1949 the Geneva Conventions were signed...

Because not a single UN resolution on Palestine, also adopted in our name, has been implemented by the state of Israel ; and because the latter has, since its foundation, constantly violated the UN principles and the international conventions, in complete impunity and with growing cynicism, We, citizens of the world, have the duty today to remind the international community of its obligations !

We solemnly request

that the UN General Assembly make use of its power to create subsidiary bodies in order to set up an ad-hoc penal court (as was done for the former Yugoslavia and for Rwanda by the Security Council) and try the crimes committed in Palestine.

As of today we demand :

The end of all and any exaction against the Palestinian people and an international protection of the latter

The full and complete lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip

The mandatory implementation of all UN resolutions on Palestine and the prescription of international law, under the constraint of international sanctions if need be. Israel is a state like any other, with the same rights and the same duties.

We request specifically that any accord of cooperation with Israel be suspended until that state respects the UN resolutions.

Endorse: U.S. Trade Unionists Support South African and Australian Dockers' Boycott of Israeli Cargo

We salute the South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATAWU) in Durban, and Western Australian dock worker members of the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA), for refusing to handle Israeli cargo. Theirs is a courageous response to Israel's attack on Palestinians in Gaza that, since December 27 alone, have left some 1,400 dead and 5,000 wounded — nearly all of them civilians.

At about 8:00pm on Friday the 6th of February, journalist and activist Philip Rizk was abducted by Egyptian national security during a solidarity march to Qalubeyya (north of Cairo) as part of the "To Gaza" campaign. 14 other people were also detained, but everyone except for Philip was released.

This space is dedicated to spreading the news and updates about Philip as raising awareness about the situation in Palestine.

Send an email to Kevin Rudd via Amnesty to call for an independent UN inquiry into War Crimes. You don't have to be an Aussie to sign:

Don’t let war criminals get away with murder
29 January 2009, 10:46AM

Over the last four weeks the world has looked on in horror as women, men and children have borne the brunt of the conflict in the Gaza Strip and Southern Israel. It is not just the number of casualties that has sent shockwaves, but the high proportion - around half - who are civilians.

"There must be an urgent, immediate, independent and impartial investigation set up to look at evidence of war crimes."

Philip Luther, Amnesty International

Their deaths and injuries are not the inevitable consequences of war, and cannot be discounted as “collateral damage”. These casualties represent mounting evidence of war crimes, committed on both sides of the conflict.

More than 1,300 Palestinians - including over 400 children - and 13 Israelis have been killed in the conflict to date, with thousands more injured.

Open Letter to Mr. Haruki Murakami

To: Mr. Haruki Murakami

We ask you to withdraw from the Jerusalem Book Fair and receipt of the "Jerusalem Prize".

We have heard the news that you are going to participate in the 24th Jerusalem International Book Fair from 15th to 20th February, and will be awarded the "Jerusalem Prize". We are terribly shocked. - -

Please turn your attention to the Palestinians, who are being denied their freedom and dignity as human beings and resisting by surviving everyday life. We would humbly ask you to consider the effects your receipt of the "Jerusalem Prize" would have, what sort of message the world would receive in this Middle East situation, what kind of propaganda value it could have to Israel and the possibility of aggravating the critical situation Palestinians are facing.

Sincerely,
