My next book, if I get the time to do it, will either be a commentary on Jean-Jacques Rousseau's Discource on Inequality. His observations on how urban (bourgeois) life enslaves people and creates misery perfectly describe the decline of the Western economic order.
I also want to write a sociological criticism of our increasingly de-intellectualized, narcotized society; specifically, they way that vacuous infotainment destroys our ability to resist tyranny… or something like that. I haven't worked out all the details.
