Book Donation Drive for the People of Gaza

Please offer your help in a book collection effort for Palestinians in Gaza. It’s part of a nationwide drive by the Free Gaza movement to provide new and used books to replace libraries destroyed in the war on Gaza in Dec. 2008-Jan. 2009. (According to UNWRA, Israel’s blockade also prevents ink, paper and other learning materials from entering into Gaza.)

The books will go to Gaza by sea this summer, either on the Summer of Hope, or on a Free Gaza-operated ship that will sail soon afterward.

Suitable books include almost any subject taught in kindergarten through university, including books for learning English, as well as a variety of subjects from science and math to politics, literature and art. Please deliver books to Susan Kerin (skerin1@msn.com) or Adam Chamy (bookclub@wrmea.com) or at one of these three locations by July 5.

* 16924 Olde Mill Run, Rockville, MD 20855

* American Educational Trust Bookstore, 1902 18th St, NW, Washington, DC 20009 Monday-Saturday 10 am-6 pm

If you do not have a suitable book or cannot access the drop off location, but would like to donate a book, the American Educational Trust Book Club is pleased to offer books from our bookstore, www.middleeastbooks.com.
